Have you given up already?

If you are reading this, chances are you either want to create intentions for this year or you’ve already given up on the 2021 intentions you made and want to give yourself a second chance.

Even research shows up to 80-percent of New Year’s resolutions fail by mid-February.

I hear you..

know that planning and projecting for the year ahead can feel a little challenging.

There is still so much ahead of us that is yet to be defined!

However, if we don’t have clear intentions, focused attention and a plan of action, we could be lowering our chances to get to where we want to be in our career paths.

And that leads to a big, important question:

What do you want your professional career to be this year?

Sometimes, the resolutions we create can be ego-driven, fear-based, or simply inauthentic. We start them with phrases like “I should”or ”I must.” But I invite you to ask yourself this:

  • What do you want?
  • What do you really want, need and desire in your professional career this year?
  • What do you want to manifest and attract?

Year after year, many of us experience the disappointment (and sometimes shame) of unfulfilled resolutions. But today, I want to provide you with a new strategy that could help your 2021 resolutions stick for good.

Are you following me?

We can call this process: “Getting Real!”

The first step is to not start with resolutions or goals.

Goals become a reality when you set your intentions and act them in existence.

Let’s start with intentions first.

Intentions:

Begin by connecting with your truest wants and desires.

Think about what you really want to attract and manifest in your career and life this year. Think from the mind. Then, think from the heart.

Visualize:

Visualize yourself in the present moment, living out your intentions.

Emotions:

Now think about the emotions and feelings you want to experience this year. Take the time to identify and connect with the feelings you’re longing or wishing for.

Behaviors:

Think about the behaviors you want to move away from. Identify those that are not in alignment with your intentions that you’d like to observe. Then identify the behaviors you’ll need to cultivate instead so you can manifest your desires.

Planning:

We know that an intention without a plan is just “wishful thinking.” Let’s commit to specific actions that will help generate a positive impact towards the result we want. Make emphasis on making them specific and time defined.

Scheduling:

Once you are clear about the specific actions you need take in order to honor your intentions, you want to make sure that you are plugging these actions on your calendar.

Accountability:

The final piece of this process is implementing regular accountability and creating some kind of support structure for this. You can hire a coach, join a mastermind group, or create a success/accountability partnership with a friend.

Lastly, and most importantly, stay flexible. Last year taught us that one of the most important traits we can cultivate is the ability to stay flexible and resourceful.

So, keep your intentions close to your mind and heart. Be willing to explore different actions and strategies to help you actualize your intentions.

Knowing and living your intentions can help you develop the resilience to pursue your career goals, escape from your comfort zone and face the fears to live life purposefully and authentically.

Wishing you health and an intention-driven 2021!

Let’s do this!

Your friend and coach,

Ivanna Casado
